As a young girl, Edna helped her mother care for her grandparents, which she found a lot of satisfaction in. Taking care of them showed her that the assistance she provided brought smiles to her grandparents’ faces and there were many treasured moments. Edna realized then that small acts of care and kindness are what matters most, and everyone can make a difference by caring for another person. Since she can remember, Edna has had a passion for caring for people. She has worked in a variety of health care settings including hospitals, long term care facilities and home health care. She started her nursing journey as an LPN and continued that for over 20 years, then decided she wanted to pursue an RN degree. It gives her great joy being a vital part of taking care of residents and mentoring staff. She enjoys working with her team to ensure our residents are provided with the highest quality of care while being mindful of the residents’ individual preferences and needs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family, gardening, reading, and cooking.
